An Indigenous woman is communing with water spirits on a dark indigo evening, bathing under the light of our eldest ancestor Grandmother Luna.

Here you have a woman who is participating in sacred communion with the natural world around her, the moon and the water, humbly receiving their wisdom and care. Indigo is me, and she is also my ancestor. I see each of my paintings as a story, a peak into another timeline.
